2008 Fire Intervention Relief Effort
A campaign of the McCormick Foundation
Sponsored by American Express and the Los Angeles Times

On the strength of people’s generosity, the McCormick Foundation along with Garth Brooks, the Los Angeles Times, American Express, Ticketmaster and AEG have raised $4.9 million for the 2008 Fire Intervention Relief Effort (F.I.R.E.). With the added match from the McCormick Foundation, more than $6 million has been granted to nonprofit organizations providing aid to fire victims, first responders, and their families, as well as supporting southern California fire departments and organizations in need of additional or replacement fire fighting equipment.

Special thanks to Garth Brooks for generously donating ticket sales and merchandise proceeds from his five, sold-out Los Angeles concerts in January 2008.
